Sofia

Sofia it’s a modern, glorious city, with a lot of historical monuments, churches, surrounded by Roman ruins from 2000 years ago, green parks and gardens, plenty of galleries, restaurants and clubs. Sofia may offers you all you need, one time visited you will be back soon.

Village Yamna

The village of Yamna is located in the Balkan Mountains, 10 km east of the town of Etropole.

In the vicinity of the village there are many beautiful places that attract tourists from all over the country. The small mountain river Zlata also flows there.

Near the village is one of the most famous monasteries in the area – “Holy Trinity”. In the past, he sheltered Vasil Levski when he was hiding from the Turks.

A natural landmark around the village of Yamna is the Vranata Voda waterfall, rising above the rocks. It is about a ten minute walk from the Padesh neighborhood.

Every year, at the beginning of June, the traditional village fair is held in Yamna. 

Etropole

The Etropole region attracts visitors with its cultural and historical heritage, natural wealth, deep traditions and unique holidays. These perspectives make Etropole a preferred destination for recreation and rural tourism.

Of interest to tourists is the rich centuries-old history of Etropole. The most visited tourist sites in the municipality of Etropole are: the clock tower (symbol of the city), the Historical Museum (it presents the rich centuries-old history of the Etropole municipality) and the monastery “Holy Trinity” (became a significant cultural and educational center), which are included in the list of one hundred national sites under № 63.

Program

DAY 1 Welcome to Sofia!

We will wait for you at the airport for your private transfer to your hotel. 

Accommodation, optional:

• 5* Sheraton Sofia Hotel Balkan or similar
• 5* Hotel All Seasons Residence (in the Vitosha Mountain) or similar
• 4* Hotel Downtown or similar
• 3* Hotel Hotel Niky or similar 

An intensive tour of the city will follow during which you will visit Sofia’s main landmarks including the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, Holy Sophia Church, The Russian Church of St. Nicholas the Miracle Maker, St. George’s Rotunda, St. Nedelya Church, the Presidential Office Building, Parliament Square, the Ivan Vazov National Theatre, Borisova Gardens and the National Palace of Culture.

Dinner at typical Bulgarian restaurant (We recommended restaurant “Moma”) and after dinner overnight.

DAY 2 Sofia – Etropole – Village Yamna

Breakfast at your hotel. After that our representative will pick you up from the hotel and with private transfer we will set off on the road to Village Yamna. The road from Sofia to Etropole is approximately an hour and a half. You will arrive at noon and have an organized tour of the city. Meanwhile will stop in the beautiful town of Etropole to see the main sights in the area. 

What will you see?

• The monastery “Holy Trinity”

After tour of the city you have time for lunch in the center of Etropole and after lunch our trip continue to village Yamna.

Free time, dinner and overnight. 

DAY 3 Village Yamna

Breakfast at your hotel. 

Then you will have an organized visit to the Vranata Voda waterfall. It is located at 30 minutes from Hotel Perfect and a kilometer and a half away walking. After visiting the waterfall you have free time for optional activities. 

Lunch. Leisure time. Dinner and overnight.

DAY 4 Village Yamna – Sofia

After breakfast at your hotel with private transfer departure for Sofia. 

Free day in Sofia for optionally – shopping, leisure, walking or other optional activities. 

Dinner to say goodbye in a typical Bulgarian restaurant, and we recommend you to visit “Hadjidraganov’s houses”, where you can have a folklore program.
