Begliktash
The territory on which Begliktash is located is forest, it was part of the hunting residence of the former communist head of state Todor Zhivkov (ruled 1954-1989). Archaeological excavations have found pottery, stone tools and weapons, flints, coins, etc., which show that it was created in the middle of the second millennium BC and was destroyed in the early fourth century AD. The lack of later construction on it has preserved the unique sacred elements in their original form.

Tatul
At around 20 km Eastern from Momchilgrad, near the village of Tatul, is situated one of the most impressive megalithic monuments discovered on our lands. The complex consists of an ancient pagan sanctuary and antique temple. The earliest cult activities on the hill began at the end of Chalcolithic (V-IV millennium BC) and continue also during the Bronze Age when people laid the gifts to the gods on the rocks. The complex also suffered from two earthquakes.

The Stone Mushrooms
The stone mushrooms are rock formations, which are located to the east of the village of Beli Plast, on the road connecting Kardzhali with Haskovo. The protected area has an area of 3 hectares. They are declared a natural landmark. Rock formations are in the form of natural mushrooms – their stumps are pink, and the hats are greenish. The height of the stumps and the width of the hats is up to 2.5 m. Sculptured in rheolite volcanic tufts. The tufts that formed the mushroom stone are the result of intense underwater volcanic activity dating back to the time of the Paleogene.

Perperikon

Residence “Euxinograd” was the summer residence of the monarchs – Alexander Battenberg, Ferdinand and Boris III. The whole “Euxinograd” spreads over nearly 900 acres of land owned by the Bulgarian state, and includes in addition to the main building of the palace, also greenhouses for rare plant species and fresh flowers, French garden and English park, wine cellar with newly planted vineyards, sports complex , several holiday villas, the former residence of the head of state, a hotel and administrative part with a restaurant, as well as several buildings where in the past the royal servants and the stable were housed.

Etara – Open-air ethnographic museum

Eagle Rocks
Eagle Rocks sanctuary is located in the Eastern Rhodopes, about 3 km. south of Ardino and 30 km. southwest of Kardjali. This monument of the ancient Thracian culture is unique for Bulgaria and is one of the emblematic places, revealing part of the life of the rock people.
Due to the large slope of the area, the height of the cliff is not the same in different places. Is highest on the west side, where it reaches 30 meters. Baba Vida Fortress
Baba Vida is a medieval fortress in Vidin in northwestern Bulgaria and the town’s primary landmark. It consists of two concentric curtain walls and about nine towers of which three are preserved to their full medieval height, including the original battlements, and is said to be the only entirely preserved medieval castle in Bulgaria.
