Koprivshtitsa and Panagyurishte
With this tour you will see the beautiful town-museum of Koprivshtitsa, located 110 km south-east of Sofia. It is a 2-hour transfer along a road, which passes via small valleys and traces the southern foothills of the Balkan Mountains. On the way back to Sofia, you will visit another famous city Panagyurishte. Panagyurishte is famous for the “Panagyurishte gold” treasure discovered there in 1949. The town has two big Eastern Orthodox churches, St Georgi and St Bogoroditsa, as well as several chapels.
