The protected area of Rupite is famous for its healing mineral springs with a temperature of 74 ° C and a flow rate of up to 35 l / sec. In the area of Rupite is the temple-monument “St. Petka Bulgarian”, built in 1994. The area is known primarily as a place associated with the prophetess Vanga, and thus attracts thousands of pilgrims and tourists. The Archaeological Museum in Sandanski was founded in 1936. It contains a collection of local artifacts that are related to antiquity. It has representative collections of tombstone marble and antique mosaics. The museum is the oldest in Southwestern Bulgaria. You can also see a hologram of Spartacus and augmented reality, representing the churches and mosaics in the ancient city below today’s Sandanski. 

Rozhen Monastery is one of the most interesting and important religious and cultural centers in Bulgaria. It is located 6 km east of the town of Melnik. From the monastery unfolds a beautiful view of the Melnik pyramids, and the atmosphere in the monastery is magical. The interior and exterior of the monastery are exceptional and very impressive!
